2022 LEADERSHIP SUMMIT WRAP UP

It’s safe to say this year’s Leadership Summit was a weekend to remember.

With over 50 Leaders in the room over a two day event, we had an amazing 20 people take the stage to speak. Our new General Manager, David McManus had his very first opportunity to be in the room and meet face-to-face with our Live Clean Community. We were joined by the amazing Ally Nitschke who shared wisdom and inspiration. We took a deep dive into our newest CellProof product, with training, education and marketing tips. We had the opportunity to hear your voice and what you want your future with Modere to look like. But, above all, we got to connect with one another and grow as one big team.
As always, we love getting your feedback from our events, so we reached out to a few attendees to hear what their 2022 Leadership Summit experience was like.

My key takeaways from the weekend were really cementing how important community is when it comes to leadership. Leaders become who they are because of the experiences and people around them, and interconnecting with all the other teams was an amazing experience to learn and grow.

Modere is a huge company that manages to keep a small company feel. Head office staff are so warm and friendly and genuinely want to get to know you and your business needs. Understanding the numbers in your business is key. Knowing exactly what your customers and social marketers respond well to allows you to best maximise the promotions and incentives available throughout the year. Spending time with my team was the absolute highlight as we’re geographically diverse and don’t spend much offline time together! Building on relationships with the head office staff was another highlight as was the opportunity to brainstorm ideas for future promotions and incentives after we’d seen the statistics of the performance of this year. Top tip – behave like a CEO of a business 5 times the size of yours, know your numbers, know your team and know your customers.

My key takeaway from the Leadership Summit was if you want to grow up then show up. Keep teaching yourself and move forward because if you’re not growing then you are stagnating. My top three parts from the weekend were (a) being asked to speak in front of our colleagues about our style of leadership, (b) the keynote speaker Ally Nitschke and (c) being able to have the chance to meet our new GM and the Modere team so I can see their personalities. My top tip would be to make the Leadership Summit a priority now. Put it in the calendar and start planning for next year. Learn and ask questions from your leaders. Learn how to put your marketing in place so that it’s going to be effective. Remember, if you’re speaking to everyone then you’re speaking to no one.

My key takeaway was how important connecting with other like-minded leaders is for mindset growth. It’s wonderful to be back together celebrating the Modere Leadership team with corporate and Social Marketers. My 3 favourite parts were: 1. Seeing and meeting so many new dynamic leaders joining Modere, ensuring we have a strong long-term legacy and that we are growing. 2. Meeting our New GM Aus/PAC was brilliant. To have such an experienced GM who knows the ins and outs of this phenomenal industry and understands how we as SM’s think and behave is so good. To hear we are opening the Asian region again is so inspiring. 3. For me it’s all about making a difference in people’s lives and with the Health Focus of the new Women’s Health range coming in 2023 along with other game-changing products it ensures exactly that! We do make a difference in people’s lives from a health and wealth perspective! My top tip is: Don’t miss out on being in that room in 2023! Start your game plan now! Work with your leaders to gain a seat at that table now!
– Annie Starky

My key takeaway from the weekend was: know who you are and own your name. My top three favourite parts from the weekend were the workshop with Ally, to reach the next level you need to shake off extra burdens and take off, and create your blueprints. A tip to those striving to attend next year’s Leadership Summit: If you feel you are stuck 1. STOP 2. START 3. CONTINUE.
– Ruchi Suhaney Chavhan

My key takeaway from the weekend was focusing on the importance of leadership – how to be a good leader and leading the way. My top three favourite parts were chatting new products, being able to participate in improving compensation plans and Escape, and the workshop with Ally Nitschke. A few tips to pass on are to keep doing your work, plan your strategy, be consistent with your social media and educate yourself to improve your service delivery.
