MOMENTUM SRC AUGUST 2017 WRAP UP

In the shade of the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge… amidst Ferris Wheels, merry-go-rounds and roller coasters… Luna Park’s Big Top flung its welcoming doors open for the opening Leaders’ session of what would prove to be an epic Momentum SRC 2017.

Day one started with our Director 1 and above session and a warm welcome from MD Andy Kirss. Our amazing and inspiring leaders were the first to meet our equally amazing new Sales and Marketing Manager, Allana Hinks, as she took to the stage to give everyone an insight into her own positive, passionate and productive mantra around being your best across work and play.
The leadership laden crowd of D1 and Above were then taken straight into inspiration mode, hearing from our global CEO Robert Conlee who gave amazing insights into the global growth Modere has seen across each of our markets.

After being delighted by a series of presentations from some our newly anointed Elite leaders, the crowd was utterly captivated by our guest keynote speaker, Australian and World Champion martial artist, Nadine Champion.

Nadine’s message of staying focussed as a leader, intertwined with her sporting history, left the room in no doubt about the value of absolute dedication, discipline and focus. Her 20 years of extraordinary training and testing under her tough but fair Sensei reminded everyone what hard work really is… and the rewards that follow it.

A first for SRC this year was our experience floor complete with our juice bar, media wall and chill out zone where everyone could mingle before sessions started.
The main event Friday afternoon saw the start of some amazing recognitions, highlighting the success of Team Leaders right through to our newest Elites.
The evening culminated with Allana taking the reins of the Australian national launch of M3, our incredible new weight loss program. Together with Greg Horn, M3’s creator and scientific formulator, Allana gave a packed house the heads up and the low down on every aspect of M3.

It was a very early start for those lucky few that qualified for our Breakfast Club to start Day 2 of SRC. If the stunning, panoramic Sydney Harbour vistas weren’t breathtaking enough, Trudy Byers’ uplifting narrative, from bus driver to the crème of Social Marketing elite, was something to behold and take to heart.
One of the absolute SRC show stopping moments was one of our rising stars, Mia Gilvray, whose uplifting story did not leave a dry eye in the house. To be in a room full of love and support to celebrate everyone’s achievements was one thing but to then witness Mia’s Maori community support spontaneously stand to give her a special Haka, was a once in a lifetime moment. Spine tingling stuff that even had the AV team on their feet!

Speaking of emotional highlights, a special Lost & Found video series was also launched as part of the M3 marketing strategy. Intimate interviews of seven real people who have committed to “Take the Pledge”. Sharing their personal motivations, aspirations and goals, we introduced everyone to these beautiful people that we will be following, along their M3 journey, this year.

Could we top that? Well, yes. Because Nadine Champion was back by popular demand, complete with an astounding ‘mind-over-matter’ experience. Inspired by her book “10 Seconds of Courage”, two people were plucked from the audience… and convinced that they could punch a piece of solid timber in two. One being Elite 3 superstar, Sam Long. Not only did she do it… Nadine made her do it with her non-dominant hand.

The crescendo to every SRC is, of course, the famous After Party where everyone, including staff, can let their hair down. Oh my goodness! The circus theme encompassed a juggler, a mime, caricature artist, a hula hoop girl, our own Ring Master and even fire-breathers welcoming party goers inside. Wowee!

At the risk of blowing our own trumpet: It. Was. Huge.

With multiple Facebook Lives going off outside, in front of the Harbour Bridge and Luna Park’s iconic Ferris Wheel, the sheer volume of dancing, singing and laughing would have seen the Modere happy-o-meter in the red zone for the whole night. And if any of those blissfully happy, chatty faces at the bar were to be believed… they cannot wait for SRC Adelaide in 2018 so don’t miss out!
