6 WAYS HACKS CAN IMPROVE YOUR PRODUCTIVITY

What on earth is a ‘hack’?

Hacks are designed to offer ‘solutions’, ‘work-arounds’ or, as I like to call them, ‘short-cuts’.  They offer you choices to move through your workflow with speed.

In today’s world, nothing is off-limits.  If you take the time to investigate, you’ll find just about everything you need.  Here’s an example of how I made my girlfriend’s daughter’s school project a lot easier…

Ella had to come up with a speech on earthquakes around the world.  Personally, I thought that was a tough gig for a little girl.  So, what did I do?

I said, ‘Ella, let’s see if there’s an app for that?’  And, sure enough, there was.  The app gave us instantaneous seismic activity, globally.

Ella was chuffed as her workload just became a lot easier.  Was I pleased to be of VALUE?  Yes, I was.

Therein lies a lesson… VALUE upfront!

And, in our world… VALUE upfront, opportunity at the back end!

If you put your thinking caps on, you’ll find anything you need.

So, what can you expect from finding and implementing hacks?

  1. Rather than taking a chance, you have a choice
  2. You have more conviction around your workload
  3. You’ve educated yourself on a new tool
  4. To say you feel ‘empowered’ will be an understatement
  5. You’re demonstrating ‘wisdom’, which eliminates ‘wisecracks’
  6. You’ll become more persistent

Best of all, if you’re in Network Marketing, you’re probably a Leader.  Leaders typically lead.  So, step up and start finding ways to help, not only yourself, but your team as well.  Lead from the front!

Another example is the title of the blog you are reading right now.  It came from: https://www.portent.com/tools/title-maker which is a free tool.

All I did was type in hacks, kept hitting the refresh button which changed the title each time, then I stopped at one that I liked.  Why is a title important?  Well here’s the thing…

The title you choose will be the essence of your work, whether it’s a post, blog, article or book.  It catches people’s attention.  How many of you have bought a book or a magazine based on the title?  A few of you, I’m sure.  I know I have.

That brings me to images.  They say a picture paints a thousand words?  Well, that statement is true.  First impressions are made in 7 seconds and on the internet it’s 1/10 of a second.

Finding relevant images that correlate to your post, blog, article or book, in addition to the title, will help you gain attention and most certainly will help build loyalty and your brand. It will help to convey your message, help you stand out and if you are in sales – will set up your sales pitch further down the track.

Here is a suggestion for free images:  https://pixabay.com – another free tool.  You can use the search field to help you drill down to something you’re after.

There are plenty of these tools.  Just find the one that you like to work with.

A program such as https://www.canva.com/ can help you become a graphic designer in a few seconds and is another free tool.

In the world of Network Marketing we cannot underestimate the power of ‘Relationships’.  As a rule, spend 1/3 of your time on your Facebook wall and 2/3 of your time in Facebook Messenger.

People often say to me, ‘Connie, I don’t know how to start a conversation in Messenger’.  Well, let’s make that easy for you.  Here’s a good place to start:

  • Go to your page, click HOME
  • On the left you’ll find a menu
  • Scroll down to EVENTS
  • Scroll down to BIRTHDAYS – you should find a small list
  • Get into Messenger and say, ‘Hey (name), I’m just popping in to wish you a Happy Birthday.  What are you up to for the day?’

BOOM – conversation started.

In saying this, in Pixabay, search birthday cakes and select the one you like. Add the image on to the birthday person’s wall, with a message like, ‘Happy Birthday (tag their name), wishing you an amazing day’, then put in an emoji.

If you’re stuck on how to place images on to someone’s wall – google it.  Google is my best friend.  Here’s an example of how to find an answer:  https://www.facebook.com/help/118731871603814/

For Network Marketers, we often think we are working around the clock when in actual fact, we’re not.  Again, search for apps that can track your time.  There are so many to select from so, choose one that suits you.  I use Boosted for tracking my time.  You’ll find that here:  https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.boostedproductivity.app&hl=en

I have so many projects on the go that I can easily track my time across all the different things I do.
