We are excited to announce that we now have another option for your Customers to purchase their Modere favs with PayPal. PayPal is now available for all Modere product orders, whether they are subscriptions or once off everyday orders.
Also, Australian Customer’s once off everyday orders (excludes subscription orders) will be able to take advantage of PayPal’s Pay In 4, which is their buy now pay later option. Unfortunately PayPal do not offer this option in New Zealand due to their country’s consumer laws.

At this stage PayPal will not be available for Social Marketer sign ups on our Shifting Retail website, but we do have plans to add this in the future. We will keep you updated on that one.
At Modere we pride ourselves on speedy order processing and shipping, and with the introduction of PayPal we are taking the opportunity to significantly improve the processing time of orders paid by EFT from Customer bank accounts by replacing this payment method with the PayPal option to pay from a bank account.
Just be aware that a credit card must be included on a PayPal account to set up a bank account on PayPal as well, however the credit card account does not need to be used and of course PayPal never share those credit card details with any websites or online services.
Considering paying from a bank account using PayPal improves order processing and shipping times, as well as the fact that many banks are not committing to support EFT moving forward, we will be phasing out EFT by September 2023.
So, now is the time to contact your Customers who prefer PayPal or are currently using EFT to update them on the new PayPal options now available.

A. PayPal is an online payment platform that facilitates payments between individuals and businesses. PayPal is considered a very secure method of sending payments online.

Q. Can PayPal be used for all order types in Australia & New Zealand?
A. Yes, PayPal can be selected as a payment option for any product order type when progressing through the checkout section.
Q. With the EFT payment option being phased out later this year, will there be an alternate option to pay via Bank Account?
A. PayPal gives you multiple payment options. You can link a bank account or transfer money directly to your PayPal account and then checkout with PayPal. Whatever option you select in your PayPal account will be where the funds for your Modere order will be drawn from.

Q. Can new Social Marketers use PayPal to pay for their Joining Fee?
A. No. At this stage PayPal will not be available as a payment method on Shifting Retail, however we hope to be able to offer it in the future.
Q. Can we use PayPal to pay for a Modere Event e.g. SRC tickets?
A. Unfortunately we cannot offer PayPal as an option for our events as they are processed through a separate event management database and not linked to our Modere websites. Q. Can I edit an existing subscription to change from credit card to PayPal?
A. Yes. You can edit your subscription’s products or payment methods at any time, by signing into your Modere account and going to Subscription Manager.

Q. What is PayPal – Pay in 4?

Q. Can PayPal – Pay in 4 be used for all order types in Australia & New Zealand?
A. No, Pay in 4 can only be used for Australian once off Everyday orders.
Q. Why is Pay Pal – Pay in 4 not available in New Zealand?
A. PayPal currently cannot offer this in New Zealand due to their country’s consumer laws.
Q. Why can’t I use PayPal – Pay in 4 for my subscription order?
A. Currently PayPal does not support the Pay in 4 option on recurring/subscription orders, as essentially you cannot pay for a subscription with a subscription. However, you can use Pay in 4 on a once off Everyday order, placed outside of your primary monthly subscription order, and still get your VIP benefits.
Q. If I place a once off Everyday order and use PayPal, do I have to use the Pay In 4 option?
A. No, selecting PayPal for a once off Everyday order just gives you the option to use Pay in 4 – you can opt to not do pay in 4 and charge your selected method the full amount.
Q. If I cancel my subscription for a once off Everyday order to pay with Pay In 4, will I lose my Subscription discount/VIP benefits?
A. You will get your VIP benefits on any once off Everyday orders if you are eligible for them at the time of the order. And you won’t lose your VIP benefits if you continue to have a primary monthly subscription order in that month. This means in the month you do your Everyday order, you must also have a subscription order (2 orders in the 1 month). If you only have a once off Everyday order in that month, you will lose your VIP benefits.
Q. Can new Australian Customers Pay In 4 on their first order?
A. Yes. They can, but please note Pay In 4 is only available on once off Everyday orders, so they won’t be able to do their first subscription order and get their VIP benefits.
Q. Who do I speak to if I have concerns about my PayPal account?
A. As PayPal is an external payment method, any issues or enquiries regarding your PayPal account or payments need to be directed to PayPal.
